How do we do it?

  • We jump right in! We start with an intensive 8 week deep dive with a small cohort of 12 people, led by our expert chef, Olivia. Each week you’ll take a piece of our recipe-free cooking method, and build from there, no matter your skill level it will apply to you. We’ll discuss foundations, complements, contrasts, fat, acid, salt, aromatics, and garnish. After the 8 weeks, you’ll have a solid understanding how to cook pretty much anything and have a toolkit to access.

  • For the rest of the year, you’ll meet monthly with your cohort and cooking coach to hone and expand what you already know.

  • You master each step of the method AND have access to every single live class we host on the larger RecipeKick platform, AND their recordings.

  • You’ll do it in community, and have access to 9 new people to play with in the kitchen.

  • You’ll do all of this over the course of one year, and you’ll have skills for life.

What makes the Courageous Cooking Club different from everyone else?

  • Learn our proprietary, science-backed method that teaches you to cook with creativity and confidence using any ingredients you have on hand. Our method was built by learning scientists and (un-hoity-toity) University professors in consort with professional chefs. It’s been tested and utilized by thousands of people around the world to change their approach to cooking.

  • So many other cooking experiences are massive. In the Club, we put you in a cohort. Each cohort is intentionally limited to 12 participants for an intimate, supportive, and highly personalized experience. This means that no question goes unanswered, you’re never forgotten in the back of class, and there is plenty of comraderie and attention.

    Prefer a bigger group? There are PLENTY of friends to play with outside of the cohort in our community of 500+ recipe-free cooks!

  • Receive guidance from experienced cooking coaches through 18 small group coaching calls, weekly live classes with instructors around the world. Ultimately, you’ll always have someone to help you succeed.

  • For the entire year you’ll have access to the entire Courageous Cooking Method library which breaks down the exact way we teach at all our in-person retreats, all Recipekick.tv classes and recordings, plus a community space for your cohort to ask questions anytime of your cooking coach and other chefs from our instructor pool.

Meet your Small-Group Cooking Coach

Olivia Clulow

Trained at Le Cordon Bleu. Cut her chops at top Michelin-Starred restaurants in London and the surrounds. She’s a multi-faceted pastry and culinary chef who knows almost everything (we’re all always learning let’s be honest) and more about cuisine. She’s a mama to two adorable kiddos, and has the patience of a saint. (We should know, she works with Makenna and Kendall closely! And we can be a handfull!)

You also get access to Kendall Lane and Makenna Held a few times a year. Both of whom are graduates of Le Cordon Bleu: Paris and Stars of La Pitchoune: Cooking In France on Max, Magnolia Network, and Discovery+.

How does the Courageous Cooking Club work exactly?

You click the ‘enroll now button’, pick your cohort meeting time, you pay the $1000, and you’ll receive an email almost immediately giving you access to:

* Our BIG Community on Facebook where you can dive RIGHT in and start asking all your burning questions.

*Login info to RecipeKick.tv which includes access to the Courageous Cooking Method and over 500 hours of other classes, which means you can start right away.

One week before we start in February 2025:
* Your private community chat for your cohort, and your cohort only (You gotta join the main group first!)

* Your entire year schedule of your small group coaching classes and intro to your coach, at the time you picked (we’ll give you the dates for the WHOLE YEAR)

  • Riff on existing recipes

    We LOVE recipes. And you should too. But recipes shouldn’t hamstring us into places we don’t want to be, looking for ingredients out of season. After practicing the Courageous Cooking Method and watching RecipeKick class es you’ll intelligently learn how to build your own recipes, and interpolate other recipes to make quick fixes and replacements.

  • Execute a menu that is balanced, and delicious

How is this different than RecipeKick’s main classes?

RecipeKick classes are FREE and livestreamed to anyone, anywhere. The Club is a space where you’re in a small-group format of only 12 people, and you have more intimacy and opportunity to ask the ‘silly questions’ you’d be afraid to ask LIVE in front of dozens of people.

What exactly is small group cook coaching?

The Club is a small group format, and your cook coach is there to support you to learn and grow. There’s no chastising here, it’s the place to be to get every single itching question you have answered.

Why should I give you $1000 to do this?

Because it’s worth it. In one year, you’ll learn enough to save you hundreds of hours over your lifetime. Give us 1-2 hours a week, and we’ll give you a lifetime of cooking joyfully, seasonally, and without recipes.

There are a million and one ways to cook online why this one?

We’re the only program (that we can find) that attempts to replicate the magic of in-person connection, in a small group format, online. We want you to become friends with your cohort and we want you to really walk away with new skillsets every single meeting.

Do I have to join a cohort to get into the club?

YES! The Courageous Cooking Club is a cohort based program. If you want to be in a free program, you can join our Facebook Community which is 100% free. Including ALL THE LIVESTREAMS! The Courageous Cooking Club is for people committed to changing how they cook once and for all over the course of a year.

I LOVE recipes and have no interest in cooking without them, is this for me?

Nope! We have plenty of free live classes that are more recipe adjacent, this is truly for people who want to master cooking from the hip.
